Job Summary: Responsible for the safety and welfare of pool patrons through enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of individuals using the pool. Works under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor.Schedule: Varied schedule up to 29 hours per week.Job Duties:Responsible for the safety and supervision of all pool patrons.Spotting hazards and preventing accidents.Giving advice on water safety.Controlling unruly behavior.Water rescue with the ability to lift 200+ lbs.Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool facility.Other duties assigned as needed.Requirements:Must have current valid American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certification.CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification and a Standard First Aid certification.Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in an emergency.Minimum age of 15 years old.Work Environment: Heavy work.
