The season runs from May through September.+ Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch+ Work days will vary, employee will work 5 of 7 days per work week, to include weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed+ Overtime occurs frequently at the end of a shift or may be called in early to a shift.+ May be required for travel to off-site training or emergency situations that arise.+ You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:+ Two seasons of experience as a Lifeguard (commonwealth title); or+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirements:+ All employees must obtain a valid Lifeguard Certification or Lifeguard Management Certification issued by the American Red Cross, YMCA, United States Lifesaving Association, or other authority recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health within 14 days of employment.+ All employees must obtain valid certifications in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR within 14 days of employment.Other Requirements:+ PA residency requirement ( Info/Pages/default.aspx) is currently waived for this title.+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:+ You must pass a background investigation.+ This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.+ Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.How to Apply:+ Resumes, cover letters, and similar documents willnotbe reviewed, and the information contained therein will not be considered for the purposes of determining your eligibility for the position.
