Job Summary 1)Assists the LifeWorks Program Director with the operation of residential, deaf, or community service programs and participates in staff management, ensuring that all service recipients' needs are met. Duties include:
- Responds to urgent matters related to service recipients, employees, and the facility, in the absence of the LifeWorks Program Director.
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily tasks such as toileting, bathing, feeding, walking, dressing, and hygiene.
- Assists in assuring the quality of designated program concerning service recipient needs and satisfaction.
- Works to ensure that all necessary certifications for facility staff are current within agency policy.
2)Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency's Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents. 3)Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic, and environmental goals into thinking, planning, and actions. Requirements
- One year experience in a residential or day program setting
- Prior work experience with persons with challenging behaviors
- Certification and licenser as determined by program requirements
- Valid driver's license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record
- Evidence of high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- A criminal background check that meets Agency standards
Preferred
- Direct Support Professional Certification (or College of Direct Support)
- Active CRMA, CRMA 40 Preferred
- NAPPI or Behavioral Intervention Certification
- Active CPR/First Aid certificate
- One year of supervisory experience in a residential or day program setting
