Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY This position is accountable for the set-up and assembly of Plates and Gaskets for Plate Heat Exchangers and related products to cost-effectively produce a high-quality product on a timely basis that meets customer requirements.This is an opportunity to work first shift (7:00am - 3:00pm) at our Hobbs facility in Delavan, WI. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble Plates and Gaskets that meet customer and design specifications while minimizing scrap/rework costs. Including but not limited to the following tasks:
    • Assembling Gaskets onto Plates
    • Buffing of Gaskets
    • Clipping Gaskets
    • Operating Lift Tables
  • Conduct Basic Visual inspections of plates and gaskets.
  • Learn, know, and adhere to the Inspection Documentation requirements including checking and recording of Heat Codes for Material Traceability.
  • Mark and complete production schedules and confirm labor in the ERP system.
  • Provide guidance on the line to temporary personnel.
  • Assist other team members with their duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department in support of team and divisional goals.
  • Adhere to processes and procedures on a continual basis to ensure departmental goals are being met related to efficiencies, equipment utilization and time usage in order to maintain or improve cost competitiveness.
  • Provide quality in all goods and services delivered to internal and external customers.
  • Follow and continually monitor established safety procedures to assure a clean, safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that is professional, upholds the mission, vision and values, and interfaces well with customers, clients, co-workers and management members.
  • Attend and actively listen/participate at required communication meetings.
  • Complete all required training, including safety training, quality training and procedural training.
  • Work to and/or help create standard work procedure (SOP).
  • Operate lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to reach, write, and process all instructions, written, or verbal.
  • Basic math skills, including measurements, percentages, and the ability to count accurately.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality oriented mindset, with high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete all tasks in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and alter hours as business needs dictate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in an assembly area is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
