POSITION OVERVIEW:Working as an Electronics Systems Engineer, supporting major OEM's automotive lighting projects. The position has wide scope across the NA Branch and HQ located in Korea. RequirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Development of the complete electrical architecture for Exterior Automotive lighting systems and/or control modules, also collaborate with engineers from mechanical, Optical, CAE, manufacturing, and testing departments.
- Understanding and or experience with vehicle EE architecture and communication.
- Experience with tools involving vehicle communication (CANoe).
- Experience with updating vehicle SW (Flashing).
- Experience in problem solving issues on at the vehicle level.
- Knowledge in PCB board assembly and PCB board layout.
- Knowledge of thermal analysis and design solutions for PCBs.
- Responsible for the technical coordination of the development of LED Driver Control Units or LED Electronics from quotation to serial production to meet timing, performance, cost, and quality requirements. Leading a team of engineers within one or more projects.
- Support DFMEA, DVP&R, wiring schematics, component selection on assigned programs per customer requirements.
- Technical interface to the Customer for all electrical matters, requirement management and coordination of quality planning.
- Responsible for electrical system engineering with knowledge of SW and HW design.
- Working with the sales and purchasing team to meet cost and price targets.
- Presenting results and negotiating solutions to the customer.
- Compliance to and maintenance of internal processes per automotive standards. Assure process compliance within the project team.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- 1-5 years of experience in electronic electrical systems development in the exterior automotive lighting sector with knowledge of automotive electronics processes, HW and SW design.
- Ability to work in Zuken and DS-2 data management systems are a plus.
- Computer skills using standard business software (MS Office software).
- Very good work and organizational skills.
- Price and cost impact knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple priorities.
- International joint work experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of engineering concepts and principles.
- Working knowledge of DFSS, DFMEA, Design for Manufacturability, GD&T, and tolerance stack analysis.
- Knowledge of Stage gate product development.
- Process knowledge in PCB board assembly and PCB board layout.
- Excellent communication skill in terms of collaborating with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, domestic and third-party suppliers and customers.
- Knowledge of thermal analysis of design solutions.
- Excellent ability to identify and drive resolution to electrical engineering problems.
TRAVEL AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel to manufacturing locations in NA and other global locations as necessary. English Korean is a plus
