A limited permit holder (called a Graduate Nurse or GN ) can temporarily practice nursing under an RN supervision at the health care facility noted on the limited permit. The GN must be employed by the health care facility.

A limited permit is valid for up to 1 year

Responsibilities as a Limited Registered Nurse RN :

• Administer medications, perform treatments, procedures, and monitor vital signs
• Document residents progress in accordance with facility policies
• Participate in training/development to maintain best practices within nursing care
• Admit new residents & assist physicians during rounds of residentsrooms
• Perform ongoing assessment of residents physical and mental health
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists and nursing staff to implement individualized care plans for each resident

Requirements as a Limited Registered Nurse RN:

• Must be an RN graduate
• Fill the form 1, form 5 and 5cs forms (at the facility)
• BLS, transcript
