Job Description:
Position Overview:A Car Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of vehicles on a car dealership lot, ensuring their optimal working condition, and providing support to the vehicle manager and other dealership teams as required. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive first impression for customers visiting the dealership.Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fueling, washing, and detailing vehicles to keep them clean and presentable for customers. Ensurethe cleanliness and maintenance of the loaner fleet vehicles.
  • Lot Organization: Ensure vehicles are parked in an organized manner on the lot, making it easy for customers and employees to locate specific vehicles.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of vehicle inventory, including logging new arrivals, updating vehicle information, and coordinating with sales and service teams.
  • Customer Service Support: Greet customers upon arrival, escort them to the Service Advisor, retrieve vehicles for test drives, provide basic vehicle information, and direct them to appropriate dealership personnel.
  • Lot Security: Monitor the lot for any security issues, ensure vehicles are locked and secured, and report any suspicious activity to management or security personnel.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clear and clean Drive Lane, including the removal of oil and dirt from the ground, clean lot areas, empty trash bins, and ensure the overall cleanliness of the dealership premises.
  • Vehicle Movement: Park customer cars in the service lot, manage keys by storing them in the designated location, pull cars around for customers, and assist with Service Shuttle and valet.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with sales, service, and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the dealership's operations.
