The Line Cook is the unsung hero of this show we call BBQ. This position is unique in that you get an hourly wage PLUS TIPS! Responsibilities include:
- Assist with smoked meat preparation, inventory, receiving, and storage of food and supply products.
- Be responsible for the operation of all HOH stations as directed by the Pit Boss.
- Smoking meats under the direction of the Pit Boss
- Preparing food items to order
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
- This position is an evening position, but you must be flexible and willing to work weekends and possibly holidays.
Job Requirement - High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Proficient knife skills
- ServSafe Certified (we will provide training if needed)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in teams
Physical Demands: - We need you to be able to safely lift bags, cases, or stacks weighing up to 25lbs. There may be some tasks that require bending and reaching as well.
- We need you to be able to stand for long periods of time and at times.
- The noise level at times can be moderate.
