District 37 Kitchen & Taphouse is a brand-new restaurant that has opened in North Tonawanda!

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Line Cook. The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our American-style cuisine, including gourmet burgers, in-house smoked barbecue, and brick oven pizzas.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and specifications.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to meet our high standards.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas including closing duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Follow all sanitation and hygiene regulations to maintain food safety standards.

Requirements:

• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other kitchen staff members.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.

• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
