Rouge, is a Rittenhouse Square landmark restaurant serving International small plates and seasonal cuisine with inviting Old World techniques. We serve quality ingredients consistently, always presenting value to our guests. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing each guest a unique and memorable experience.

Meet our owners: Rob and Maggie Wasserman. They are native Philadelphians who met at Rouge in 1999. Theyve lived and traveled extensively in Asia working in the fashion, manufacturing, and importing industries. In 2006, they returned to Philadelphia to start and raise their family and took ownership of Rouge. The continued success of Rouge has led to plans of expansion both in Philadelphia, and potentially, in surrounding areas.

Meet our new executive chef: the well-traveled Sean McPaul. Chef Seans career started 15 years ago at Stephen Starrs Tangerine before a move to San Francisco (Bacar, Quince, Jardiniere), and a return to Philadelphia, where he opened Talulas Garden for Starr. McPaul then opened Starrs Upland in New York before leaving for Ludlow House. Next, he became chef for Eli Kulp and Ellen Yin at High Street on Hudson, their Manhattan sibling of High Street on Market in Old City.
