Job Title: Line Operator
Job Description
The Line Operator will be responsible for ensuring SQF (Safe Quality Food) food safety and quality by ensuring the process meets all standards from Filler through Palletizer. The Line Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area, assisting other employees with changeovers, and performing minor maintenance on equipment as needed. The Operator will keep the work area clean and safe, keep the line running at peak efficiency, assist with weight control, monitor cases and carton codes, and conduct all required checks to maintain the highest efficiency while adhering to quality standards.
Responsibilities
Communicate well with others and understand team concept
Understand and follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) for producing quality product
Follow and understand the production schedule
Follow all OSHA and Plant safety rules
Assist operators with minor change-over aspects
Perform duties as assigned by the Team Leader
Work in a climate-controlled area at 40 degrees
Work at elevated levels on a working platform
Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Be trained to use a powered pallet jack
Be trained to key enter information into data systems
Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to complete basic math computations
Understanding of weights and measurements

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled area maintained at 40 degrees. Employees will work on elevated platforms and must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Training will be provided for operating a powered pallet jack and entering information into data systems.
