Position Purpose GENERAL Under the direction and guidance of the Coordinator of Airport Operations, the LineService Technician is responsible for a safe, compliant and efficient operation for aircraft fueling, ground handling, facilities and superior customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Line Service Technician shall be required to:Maintain a superior level of customer service to exceed industry standards.Complete Airport FBO training programs and updates as they become available.Work weekly schedules including nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.Wear the Airport supplied uniform and maintain a crisp and clean looking appearance at all times.Maintain daily record keeping as assigned.Perform daily airport inspections and clean debris from airport surfaces (runways, taxiways, ramp, etc.)Assist in minor repairs and upkeep of airport equipment, systems and grounds.Adhere to all University and airport safety procedures, policies and checklists.Operate all aircraft fueling operations per FAA / NFPA requirements.Fulfill UCM and Transient customer fuel orders in a timely fashion.Assist in the operations and maintenance of all bulk fuel storage systems and receipt of bulk fuel.Perform the daily maintenance and cleaning of mobile fueling equipment.Perform the daily fuel quality testing and record results.Assist with the daily functions of the customer service counter including pilot supplies sales, fuel sales and hangar rent.Maintain a high level of professionalism.Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent

Experience JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of:Aircraft operation and procedures preferred.Aircraft fueling and ground handling techniques preferred. FBO operations preferred.Aviation and ground base radio systems preferred.Skills in:Operating aircraft ground handling equipment preferred.Large truck and heavy-duty equipment operation preferred.Two-way radio communications and techniques preferred.Ability to:Work unsupervised and independently.Safely operate all types of equipment associated with aircraft fueling operations, aircraft ground handling and airport.Work in a fast paced environment and multi-task.Attention to detail and superior customer service. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :High school education or equivalent required. FBO line service experience preferred WORKING CONDITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Work weekly schedules including nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.All weather conditions. Extreme cold and hot temperatures, rain, snow and high wind conditions expected. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift heavy objects, expected during daily job function.
