Bihler's manufacturing plant is looking for a Line Technician. Experience in operating, setting up, and performing maintenance on high precision equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment. Working with integrated software to produce and develop new parts for both the Rail car and Automotive industries. Responsibilities/Duties:
* Produce parts to customer specifications.
* Understand piece part drawings.
* Measure parts using the proper inspection equipment and inspect raw materials.
* Enter data and fill out inspection sheets.
* Make adjustment to tooling to keep parts in specification.
* Ensure proper labeling, packaging and palletizing of parts.
* Perform all other duties, as assigned.
* Take accountability for downtime and continual improvement ideas.
Skills and Requirements:
* Positive attitude and a team player.
* Must have good record keeping skills.
* Ability to measure parts accurately using toolmaker microscopes, comparators etc.
* Willingness to work overtime when required.
* Good work ethics and a desire to learn are essential.
* Good communication skills and attention to details are a must.
Physical Requirements:
* Be able to work in assembly plants.
* Frequent standing, lifting, and walking.
Specific Knowledge, License, Certifications, etc.:
* 3 years minimum recent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* GED or High School Diploma Required.
