This is a Full time, Non-Bargaining, Non-Exempt position based on a 40-hour work week with an hourly pay range of $26.48 - $32.51. The individual in this position will work in the Water Distribution, 1900 2nd Avenue North, Lake Worth Beach, FL 3346Summary: This is a specialized work with lead worker responsibilities directing a small crew in the operation of a T.V Inspection/Sealing Unit and Pipeline Cleaning Crew. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Checks T.V. truck and accessory apparatus, chemicals, camera, video tape recorder, and additional equipment needed for the day.
- Determines the most effective way to set up equipment in traffic areas so the public will not be inconvenienced by the work.
- Visually inspects the interior of storm sewer and sanitary sewer lines by use of close circuit T.V. monitor.
- Directs which lines are to be inspected after the cleaning crew has completed their activity.
- Set footage so an accurate reading may be taken when identifying cracks, leaks, and roots in laterals.
- Records problems found in main line.
- Decide whether repairs should be made by using the sealing unit or reported to another crew to be dug up and repaired.
- Directs the mixing of chemicals to be used in the sealing process.
- For questionable areas or problems, reviews report with staff to determine the cost-effective method of repair.
- Inspect new construction and reconstruction of the systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of equipment and materials used in the inspection camera truck.
- Knowledge in the methods of inspection of lines, manholes and other structures in storm sewer and sanitary sewer system.
- Knowledge of the hazardous areas that employees may work in and the necessary safety precautions to work in these areas.
- Ability to plan and layout the work of inspection and cleaning crews. Ability to read and work from sketches and blueprints.
- Physical strength and agility sufficient to do heavy lifting and carrying, and to occasionally work under adverse weather conditions.

- Graduation from a recognized high school or an equivalent recognized certification.
- Experience in the construction and installation, maintenance and repair of a storm sewer and sanitary sewer system.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend related technical information and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Possession of a valid Class B CDL Florida Driver's License.
