Overview:

The Production Line Worker effectively performs repetitive packaging and assembly tasks to meet quality and quantity standards.

Duties:

* Demonstrate effective, timely and efficient work habits

* Perform repetitive work, conveyor paced assembly or packaging operations

* Meet quotas as set forth by the Production Supervisor

* Be responsible for quality of their work

* Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner

* Comply with procedures and policies and report any problems

* Perform other related duties as directed by the Supervisor

* (if applicable) Comply with all Safe Quality Foods procedures and report food safety problems

Qualifications:

* 18 years of age or older

* Resident of the county

* Independent in self-care needs

* Aggression free

Experience:

None required, but prior experience in manufacturing is helpful.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to understand demonstrated job tasks (with visual/verbal or other needed cues). The employee routinely is required to independently navigate from the workstations and the break room. Packaging requires the need to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required sit; to stand, to squat, lift and to push buttons, handle, or feel.

Conveyor or assembly and packaging line workers may lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.

Non-conveyor paced workers (Bench) may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Benefits:

The regular schedule is a 29-hour work week. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employees have a paid afternoon break and an unpaid 30-minute lunch daily. Benefits include:
