  • Expertise on Linux operation and architecture
  • Experience on Pacemaker and fencing HA
  • Exp in Scripting, bash scripting, Linux patching, Linux server maintenance, difference infrastructure remote control
  • Linux Admin activity like loading of server, Performance monitoring , Data Mapping
  • Understanding of backup procedures and storage management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Linux / UNIX system administration skills.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
  • Be responsible for installation, patching, upgrades configuration, and maintenance of servers, systems, and clusters of systems.
  • Administer system applications and ensure servers are maintained to optimize connectivity, reliability, and throughput.
  • Sizing and firmware management on server and datacenter hardware.
  • Provide capacity analysis and management, forecasting the need for data migrations and expansion in storage capacity.
  • Analyze help desk tickets assigned to the group, resolve, and if necessary, escalate.
  • Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
  • Support multiple unique projects occurring at the same time.
  • Communicate resources and actions across multiple clients/stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
  • Must be able to work in a production/operational environment.
  • Build consensus among peers and build effective team relationships.
  • This position requires after-hours or weekend work.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in VMWare & Linux is a must.
  • Experience of GCP Cloud
  • Experience in at least one automation tool Ansible or Salt
  • Any VMware & Linux certification would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAN Storage, Pure, Dell.
  • Good understanding of networking including routing, switching and load balancing
