Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design.
- Must be familiar with the following concepts (REST/XML API Support; Database administration; Linux Server Administration; Networking protocols; IAAS and SAAS operations and maintenance)
- Apply scripting methodologies to automate installation and configuration related tasks.
- Deploy, test, and maintain operating system and related gateway software.
- Perform root cause analysis and diagnostics on various production systems.
- Serve in an on-call rotation for production related incidents and issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with little to no supervision.
- Implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiencies.
- Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recovery.
- Effectively create and maintain relevant systems documentation and user guides.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an understanding of the applications the documentation requirement
- Help solution and troubleshoot application being on-boarded into production environments
- Produce high-quality documentation and emails that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for intended audiences
- Work with PM to develop solutions by clearly identifying requirements; understanding system capabilities; suggesting alternative solutions
- Interface with client app teams to help troubleshooting efforts
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.
Other Job Specific Skills
- Knowledge of Web services and API Technologies (REST, SOAP/XML, JSON)
- Knowledge on securing the web APIs data-integrity/confidentiality, basic auth and OAuth 2.0.
- Knowledge of Ansible, HA Proxy (or other automation technologies)
- Knowledge of API Management concepts & fundamentals
- Strong working knowledge of Linux OS
- Experience with VMware (VCenter), AWS technologies a plus
- Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software or networking related problems.
- Ability to plan and coordinate the deployment of new technology and resolve technical problems individually and as a project participant.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
