Job Description:

Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design.

  • Must be familiar with the following concepts (REST/XML API Support; Database administration; Linux Server Administration; Networking protocols; IAAS and SAAS operations and maintenance)
  • Apply scripting methodologies to automate installation and configuration related tasks.
  • Deploy, test, and maintain operating system and related gateway software.
  • Perform root cause analysis and diagnostics on various production systems.
  • Serve in an on-call rotation for production related incidents and issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with little to no supervision.
  • Implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiencies.
  • Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recovery.
  • Effectively create and maintain relevant systems documentation and user guides.
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an understanding of the applications the documentation requirement
  • Help solution and troubleshoot application being on-boarded into production environments
  • Produce high-quality documentation and emails that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for intended audiences
  • Work with PM to develop solutions by clearly identifying requirements; understanding system capabilities; suggesting alternative solutions
  • Interface with client app teams to help troubleshooting efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of Web services and API Technologies (REST, SOAP/XML, JSON)
  • Knowledge on securing the web APIs data-integrity/confidentiality, basic auth and OAuth 2.0.
  • Knowledge of Ansible, HA Proxy (or other automation technologies)
  • Knowledge of API Management concepts & fundamentals
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux OS
  • Experience with VMware (VCenter), AWS technologies a plus
  • Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software or networking related problems.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the deployment of new technology and resolve technical problems individually and as a project participant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
