This candidate should understanding of networking concepts, be capable of performing system patching and hardening, understand database management, be proficient with deployment automation tools as well as having experience providing end user support to the desktop level. The person in this position must be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to varying levels of managment and program engineering teams and is also responsible for leading IT projects at the local level.Essential Functions:Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other system administrators for multiple disconnected networks.Respond to support tickets & interface with usersResponsible for administration and maintenance of Windows servers and workstationsInstall and configure Windows Server 2019 and 2022Develop and maintain system documentationMonitor and Tune system performanceAssist with RMF and ICD503 compliance as required by security.Ability to travel between L3Harris Facilities inside the Rochester area.Proven Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, network interfaces, subnets)Ability to obtain/maintain a US DoD TS/SCI clearance.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Windows Server administration with a minimum of 3 years of direct experienceCurrent/Active TS/SCI Security ClearancePreferred Additional Skills:Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP or any DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher approved certificationGood working knowledge of shell scriptingStrong understanding of cybersecurity practices (patch management, STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.)Experience with LDAP, Vmware/Virtualization, Citrix, Linux, VDIFamiliarity with SCCM or other system management tools/frameworksKnowledge of NetApp or other network storage solutionsExperience supporting backup solutions and disaster recoveryAbility to function independently with minimal directionGood interpersonal skills for interfacing with team members & usersExperience supporting end-user applications and engineering development conceptsIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $64,000 - $119,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
