DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2, you will supervise, manage, and direct activities in state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. Assistant Managers supervise a shift, participating in a variety of sales activities including receiving shipments, stocking products, and providing excellent service to all customers in a clean and safe store environment. Throughout operations, Assistant Managers will assign and inspect the work of liquor store employees and instruct employees in the proper application of policies and procedures. Assistant Managers assist General Managers, who are accountable for the entire store operation which includes sales, store maintenance, merchandise and cash accounting, maintenance of records, and all related functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours vary between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday.
+ Work hours will vary. Scheduled hours will be equal to 75 hours/biweekly.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; or
+ Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or
+ Two years of lead retail sales work.

+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.

+ You must pass a background investigation. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
