JOB SUMMARY
Designs mail list databases and coordinates all details of mail jobs (from list preparation to addressing and mailing).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets label identification forms, section breakdowns, emails, print orders, etc. to get pertinent mail job information.
- Views customer-supplied mailing list raw data to determine supplied format and determine how to design mail list database appropriate for job specifications. Imports data into list service software (BCC).
- Designs and formats label output to meet customer specifications, postal sorting and discount, and Bindery requirements.
- Manipulates customer mailing list raw data by appending zip +4 for barcoding and identifying and purging duplicate records. Runs data through qualification and outputs qualification reports to show how mail qualifies for postal discounts.
- Outputs inkjet data files from BCC software and loads and saves files in tape preview system. Designs and print reports as requested by customers.
- Consults with data prep houses on inkjet mail formatting and specifications.
- Prints out label simulations to get customer approval and show Operators how data should look when laid out properly.
- Writes up mailing instructions for Mail Handlers to follow on how mail jobs are to be run and sorted.
- Calculates postage required for mail jobs and provides postage estimate to Customer Service to obtain postage check from customer in time for mailing.
- Sets up and maintains genicom and laser printer to run reports, tags and various paperwork. Outputs pallet and
- Documents all billable portions of mailing on Mail Recaps that are distributed to Customer Service, Scheduling, Bindery and Billing.
- Participates in morning and afternoon scheduling to give and get job status information and coordinate mailing schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Will be exposed to moving parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
