Job Description:

Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a multi-state law firm in its search for a Litigation Associate. This is a direct hire, full-time role, and work can be done on a fully remote basis so long as the candidate resides in and is licensed in California. The candidate must be available and willing to attend in person hearings in California, as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of civil litigation experience; however, entry-level candidates with a strong interest in real estate or mortgage law will be considered.

Primary duties of the Litigation Associate Attorney include but are not limited to:

  • Handling pre-litigation and litigation matters involving real estate, title, mortgages, foreclosure, and creditor's rights; managing litigation cases from start to finish;
  • Developing legal strategies and preparing legal analyses on risks and exposure;
  • Drafting and arguing pleadings and motions;
  • Conducting legal research and all aspects of discovery;
  • Attending court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences, etc. telephonically, video, and/or in person, as needed;
  • Assisting with bankruptcy motions and adversary proceedings, as needed.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as needed.

All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time. Infrequent lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds.

The successful Litigation Associate Attorney will have:

  • At least 5 years of civil litigation experience (entry-level candidates with strong interest in real estate or mortgage law will be considered);
  • Excellent writing and advocacy skills;
  • California bar license, in good standing;
  • Experience in foreclosure, real estate, secured transactions and creditor's rights preferred.
  • A team player attitude and willingness to help others across departments when necessary;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large and complex caseload.

Hourly billing requirement is 1920 hours annually.

Salary ranging from $92,000 – 155,000, commensurate with experience + an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, prescription and vision benefits, company paid life and disability Insurance plans, generous PTO policy for full-time employees; 401k with company matching; and more.
