About: Kapoor Law Firm is a premier law firm specializing in Immigration and Business Law matters, representing Plaintiff and Defendant clients from New York City and Long Island. We are seeking a Third-Year Associate to join our litigation and business law team based in Garden City, NY.
The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, including:
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably within Business and Corporate Law
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities
- Experience appearing and doing oral arguments in State Court
- Experience managing multiple priority projects simultaneously
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal theories.
- Conduct due diligence
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Draft and review commercial agreements, contracts, and corporate documents.
- Handle commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, partnership disputes, and business torts.
- Maintain regular communication with clients
- Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
