Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This role focuses on the provision of legal advice and services in various areas including medical malpractice, construction, and municipal defense. The position offers an exciting opportunity for those with a background in civil litigation and legal research.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice in the areas of medical malpractice, construction, and municipal

Work on current files to deliver timely and effective solutions

Conduct legal research to stay updated on the latest laws and regulations

Attend trials and prepare legal memoranda, draft legal documents, motions, and pleadings

Manage a large volume of work, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines

Collaborate with other attorneys in the team for complex cases

Utilize litigation skills including trial attendance and deposition summary

Ensure all actions taken are in compliance with the law and reflect the best interests of the client

Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest developments in law and in the legal community

Perform other related duties as required.

Must hold a professional degree in law (J.D.).

Must be barred in New York and Commutable to Syracuse

Proven experience in Civil Litigation and Litigation - Civil.

Prior experience in drafting legal documents, motions, and pleadings is required.

Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research and summarize depositions.

Experience in trial attendance and preparation is essential.

Proficient in drafting legal memoranda.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Must have a high level of integrity and professional ethics.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in the use of legal research software and other relevant computer applications.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
