Our client, a distinguished law firm with a focus in Labor and Employment law, is seeking a litigation associate to join its growing office in Austin. Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing quality legal advice, representing clients in disputes, and managing a wide range of labor and employment matters. The ideal candidate will have an interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government and Texas private employment matters.

Compensation is based on practice related experience. Candidates may be barred in any United States jurisdiction, but admission in Texas is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.

· Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.

· Drafting pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.

· Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.

· Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conference, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.

· Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.

· Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.

Requirements:

· Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

· Licensed to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction (preferably Texas) with good standing.

· Interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government.

· Understanding of state employment statues, codes, and regulations.

· Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
