Description:Our client is currently seeking a Litigation Defense Attorney to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion, conducting 50+ hearings.
- Prepare and draft various legal arguments, drafts, settlements, and other relevant legal materials.
- Evaluate medical causation and interact with medical professionals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and partners.
- Independently draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other file documents.
- Apply CPLR discovery rules to evaluate and enforce both external and internal compliance.
- Build and maintain internal and external client relationships.
- Organize claim resolution goals and execute strategies presented.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctorate from an accredited university is required.
- 5+ years of experience defending personal injury claims.
- Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
- Experience with premises liability claims is a plus.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
