Job Description:

Trustpoint.One is looking for a Litigation Discovery Staff Attorney for our AmLaw client in New Jersey. This is a full-time, direct hire, and hybrid role so candidates will need to be able to commute to their office in New Jersey several days a week.

Requirements

  • Demonstratedlitigation discovery experience (large law firm experience preferred);
  • Strong e-Discovery software & technology skills. This is a pure litigation role within the practice of discovery, and the candidate needs to be prepared to draft written discovery, handle motion practice as it relates to ESI issues, and advise on all phases of the EDRM.
  • Experience managing teams of legal professionals on discovery projects. Candidates should have experience advising and supporting case teams and clients on all discovery phases of each matter, from preservation through production, including pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation where applicable.
  • Excellent technical, professional, and client service skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration;
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and proactively and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs;
  • Bar admission in good standing (or willingness to become admitted) in one of these jurisdictions: New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Washington D.C., or Florida.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assess the discovery needs of assigned litigation matters, identify potential issues, and devise a plan for cost-effective compliance that leverages the skills of the paralegal team and the firm's discovery-managed services vendor;
  • Conduct data preservation interviews, draft preservation protocols, devise preservation notice distribution and tracking plans, and assist with monitoring preservation compliance;
  • Oversee data collection and ensure sound transfer of data;
  • Prepare supporting materials and outlines for discovery conferences, participating when needed;
  • Draft and review written discovery, including format of production specifications and appropriate objections;
  • Participate in and manage document reviews, including training and supervising contract attorneys and document review teams; and
  • Coordinate document productions and the creation of privilege logs

Job Type

  • Hybrid: 3 days/week in office in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ
  • Non-partnership track position
  • Flexibility to work extended and often unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays; travel may be required

The salary will be determined based on the candidate s industry knowledge and experience.
