  • Typically has the education associated with a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience in animal science or other related fields.
  • Previous experience in dairy herd management.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding job tasks, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver's license.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience with robotic milking systems.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Farm safety knowledge.
