Job Description: - Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.- Collect and communicate data relevant to resident's physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis.- Contribute to a developmentally age-appropriate and culturally relevant plan of resident care, involving residents, families, and the healthcare team.- Recommend revisions to the plan of care and indicate the need for referrals to address all aspects of the resident's care.- Maintain current knowledge and competency in Nursing Practice and participate in mentoring/orientation of staff.- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in job duties, maintaining a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff.- Consider factors related to safety, cost, and impact in planning and delivery of care.- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting under the direction of the RN.- Anticipate occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and show readiness to handle tasks involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.- Ability to work every other weekend (Friday & Saturday nights) and be committed to the assignment duration.
