Posted 12/18/2024* Salary: Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $65,229.39 to $72,320.95, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications. Full-Time, 40 Hour Work Week, Paid Bi-weekly General Description Under supervision of the Intake Supervisor, Jail CoC ProgramSupervisor will oversee the Jail Continuity of Care Liaison Program, ensuringeffective service delivery to justice-involved individuals with serious mentalillness. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and management toenhance community stability and reduce recidivism. The Jail CoC program supervisoris responsible for ensuring staff activities designed to ensure an individualis provided uninterrupted services during a transition into or out of acorrectional institution and that assist the individual and the individual'slegally authorized representative (LAR) in identifying, accessing, andcoordinating LMHA services and other appropriate services and supports in thecommunity needed by the individual. Ensures program complies with allapplicable statutes and rules, including those referenced in this Statement ofWork and Information Item T, Jail Match Report and Jail Diversion Standards. Programprovides screening and assessment, identifying the medical, psychiatric, orpsychological care or treatment needs and educational or rehabilitative serviceneeds of an offender with medical or mental impairments; developing a plan formeeting the treatment, care, and service needs of the offender with medical ormental impairments; and coordinating the provision of treatment, care, orservices between the various agencies that provide treatment, care, or servicessuch that they may continue to be provided to the offender at the time ofarrest, while charges are pending, during post-adjudication or post- convictioncustody or criminal justice supervision, and for pretrial diversion. Ensureprogram adheres to established training and service delivery standardsincluding the use of evidenced based practice curricula, establishes and maintainsopen communication with the State mental Health Facilities, District Attorney'soffice, communicates directly with in-house Jail personnel, Crisis InterventionTeam Members, Intake Department, and Mobile Crisis Outreach team members toensure individuals served gain access to psychiatric, substance abuse, medical,social, vocational, and other services and supports. Minimum Qualifications Experiencein psychological work. A minimum of a Masters or advanced degree from anaccredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or humanservice field including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, medicine,nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology,educational psychology, and education. Must be licensed in the state of Texasor a reciprocity state as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed ClinicalSocial Worker, Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. 2 ormore years' experience in behavioral health services. Prefer 1 year insupervisory experience. Musthave reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business.Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a gooddriving record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledgein servicing clients with SMI who have prior arrests and incarcerations. Abilityto Supervise direct care and support staff. Abilityto designs and conduct training activities as needed. Abilityto maintain compliance with applicable laws, agency polices and performancestandards. Abilityto work with coordinating agencies to ensure continuity of services. Knowledgeablein addressing criminogenic risk and needs in treatment plans including the useof evidence based cognitive behavior therapies shown to reducerecidivism. Knowledgeof evidence based practices. Knowledgein budget development and implementation. Knowledgeof the principles and practices of clinical, management and of local, state,and federal laws and regulations relevant to the program area; Abilityto communicate effectively. Demonstrationof the clinical competencies required by agency-approved, standardized training ValidTexasdriver's license Computerliterate Experience in the use of teaching and recovery techniques used inrehabilitation services providing effective assistance to persons who aredisabled Knowledgeof assessment techniques and tools Knowledgeof client care techniques Abilityto plan an individualized program of instruction with the client Abilityto work with others and to gain and retain the confidence of persons beinginstructed, guided, or directed Abilityto communicate effectively. Inthe course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed carepractices. Abilityto work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Must have reliabletransportation.
