Job Description:
Expected Pay Range: $70,000 - $78,000/yearSummary and ScopeAs an integral member of the Development & Growth Enablement (D&GE) team, the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator manages the day-to-day operations and maintains the LMS to ensure it runs smoothly and effectively. The LMS Administrator tailors the LMS to align with Deployed Resources (DR) and the D&GE's objectives. Tasks involved may include, but not limited to, configuring courses of various modalities, sending and tracking course registrations, generating reports, developing certificates, designing & assigning learning paths in the LMS, managing user permissions, and collaborating with internal clients to enhance the learning experience. Furthermore, the LMS Administrator collaborates with various stakeholders to pinpoint areas of improvement and suggest modifications to optimize the system.Essential Functions
  • Configure, analyze and maintain the LMS and monitor the system's health to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Provide training technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and offer guidance on how to use the LMS effectively. This includes creating documentation, tutorials, & providing ongoing support as needed.
  • Work with IT and other departments to integrate the LMS with other systems and tools used by the organization or to develop customizations required by clients.
  • Review e-learning content pre-deployment to ensure functionality and user experience.
  • Upload, organize, and manage training materials, courses, and other educational content within the LMS.
  • Create user accounts, assign permissions, create learning paths, manage user groups, and manage course enrollments.
  • Assist in the development of new courses, and management of existing courses.
  • Oversee the content library's structure, access, and availability.
  • Design, generate, and analyze LMS usage reports to track and report on course enrollment, training progress, course completion rates, and other key metrics.
  • Export data to external reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to optimize the user experience.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Stay updated with LMS and eLearning developments.
  • Plan and execute LMS expansion and improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Expert knowledge of SCORM and Tin Can API standards.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design process.
  • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills for LMS management and user support.

  • Proficiency in online collaboration tools and learning technology such as Articulate Storyline and Captivate.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail managing program logistics.
  • Ability to see big picture and consider the impact to the whole organization.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Education Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of Learning Management System (LMS) Administration, management, or similar experience supporting adult learners is required.
  • LMS implementation experience is required; implementation management is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with Articulate Storyline and/or Captivate is required.
  • LMS certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 Compliance is preferred.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, sit for extended periods, stand, walk, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.Expected Hours of WorkThe ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in remote, professional office, and facility environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally. TravelThis position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours' notice.Work Authorization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
