About the Role:

Job Title: Senior Load Balancer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation: Configure and deploy load balancers (F5 BIG-IP, LTM/GTM) to support application traffic distribution and scalability.
• Network Engineering: Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of network infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to load balancing, traffic routing, and application delivery.
• Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor load balancer performance, perform updates, and apply patches to maintain system integrity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development teams, to ensure seamless network operations.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with expertise in network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with load balancers (preferably F5 BIG-IP) including setup, administration, and optimization.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
• Strong understanding of network security practices, including firewalls and access control policies.

Nice to have Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced F5 features (iRules, ASM, APM).
• Knowledge of cloud-based load balancing solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Relevant certifications include F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, or equivalent.

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120K– $150K annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
