JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: Job Summary This position is responsible for loading all outbound shipments and unloading all inbound deliveries. Duties and Responsibilities:Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Operates a propane sit-down forklift. * Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. * Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. * Moving of product to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. * Take product off the production line and store in designated location. * Transport raw materials to production workstations. * Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety. * Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label. * Material handling of all products. * Follow manufacturing work orders. Equipment Used: * Forklift, rulers, measuring tape, calipers, calculator, handheld tools, power tools Working Conditions: * Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions. * Hours Worked: 40 hours per week * Days/Week: Multiple Shifts Available: * 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm * 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am * Weekend Shift - Friday - Sunday 5am - 5pm * Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required. Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: * Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. * Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. * Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. * Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. * Ability to learn and operate new equipment. * Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). * Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size. Education and Experience: * High School diploma or equivalent is required. * Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving. Travel Requirement * No travel is required for this position.
