ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transfers liquid hazardous chemicals from tanks, railcars, trucks or pipeline to other vessels.
- Inspects tanks, pipes, valves and control systems and submits report indicating condition.
- Monitors the condition of the terminal yard and equipment to report conditions.
- Handles equipment and product in such a manner as not to compromise ISO, DOT and other governmental certifications.
- Accountable for personal safety, the safety of coworkers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
- Promotes an environment in which everyone is treated with respect.
- Learn and retain process knowledge of the facility and process changes to site to enable effective operation and detection of unusual process conditions; uses knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Provide accurate and timely communication to co-workers
- Exhibit personal leadership in daily activities, task planning, incident investigations, and work performance as they relate to Reagents key focus areas which include the following: safety, the environment, quality and reliability
- Take ownership of the facility to ensure product transportation and storage results are satisfied and to ensure the site is maintained in proper operating condition
- Records data readings, utilizes plant data control systems, and observes process conditions on a continual basis to maintain good control of the facility.
- Places systems in a safe condition for maintenance work, supports maintenance activities and communicates status to the facility supervisor and coworkers.
- Provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including pipeline management, engineering, and maintenance to improve individual and unit performance
- May participate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and improving the work place environment
- Evaluate the facility's operating status and perform troubleshooting of process and equipment in order to ensure integrity of the pipeline and storage systems, and the timely, accurate product transportation to customers, suppliers and clients

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in loading or monitoring the movement of hazardous materials
