The ideal candidate will operate heavy machinery and contribute to the production of hot mix asphalt at our manufacturing sites in the Cincinnati and Dayton regions.Main ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment, including loaders, in a safe and efficient mannerAssist the production process of the mix according to established proceduresPerform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, as neededCollaborate optimally with team and customers to ensure smooth operationsParticipate in all safety related activities to ensure you are following regulations and company policiesOrganization and movement of all materialsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent experience. Vocational school graduation is a plusSkillsPrevious experience equipment and/or working in an HMA plant is preferredGood mechanical skills for equipment repair and fabrication is desirableFlexibility to work varying shifts and hours based on market demandsMSHA certification is considered a plusPhysical RequirementsPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditionsWears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.Frequent exposure to loud noiseRegularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particlesColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
