**Job purpose**
The Loader Operator duties include safe and efficient operation of the Loader in a construction asphalt or concrete plants. This position will work in multiple locations in North Dakota.
**Duties and responsibilities**
* Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk aggregate materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks
* Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
* Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material
* Maintain hopper levels to achieve maximum production
* Maintain stockpiles
* Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
* Safe operation of heavy construction equipment
* Loading trucks with dirt/clay/gravel
* Picking up excess gravel/clay
* Following rules, regulations, procedures, policies, and instructions
* Perform other related duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates
**Qualifications**
* Three years of Loader Operator experience is required
* Experience working in a concrete/aggregate plant setting highly preferred
* Must be 18 years old at date of application
* Valid Drivers License required
* Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug test and submit to random drug and/or alcohol testing during employment
