JOB PURPOSE The purpose of this job is to safely operate a frontend loader at aggregate operations in customer loadout and/or pit production.EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTSWatch for oversize material or contamination in finished product piles.Load customer trucks with the correct material in the correct quantities.If in the pit, load raw material from the pit into the hopper at the desired production rate.Perform routine maintenance including machine cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, etc. Additional maintenance activities as requiredHelp maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance dutiesIncludes cleanliness and upkeep of yard areaFollow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations.Report safety hazards and create safety first cultureParticipate in safety meetingsOther duties as assignedKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESThe primary areas of responsibility include:Plant SafetyOperating EquipmentLight Equipment MaintenanceREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to work 12 hour shifts and weekends if needed.Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teamsBasic mechanical aptitude and math skillsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERelated industry experience a plusExperience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredTRAVEL REQUIREMENTOnly as neededRate $24.50/hr and upPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.Employee constantly sits, utilizes manual dexterity, uses fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision and requires active hearing/listening.Employee occasionally stands, walks, climbs, crawls, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes and pulls.Employee is regularly exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes, and aggregate materials.Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats.Posted: 10/8/24
