JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to safely operate a frontend loader at aggregate operations in customer loadout and/or pit production.
EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Watch for oversize material or contamination in finishedproduct piles.
- Load customer trucks with the correct material in the correct quantities.
- If in the pit, load raw material from the pit into the hopper at the desired production rate.
- Perform routine maintenance including machine cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, etc. Additional maintenance activities as required
- Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Includes cleanliness and upkeep of yard area
- Follow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations.
- Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
- Participate in safety meetings
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends if needed.
- Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Related industry experience a plus
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.
- Employee constantly sits, utilizes manual dexterity, uses fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision and requires active hearing/listening.
- Employee occasionally stands, walks, climbs, crawls, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes and pulls.
- Employee is regularly exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes, and aggregate materials.
- Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats.
