Job Summary:

Loan Documentation Specialists are responsible for working closely with loan officers and loan assistants to ensure the collateral for each loan is recorded correctly and released correctly. The Loan Documentation Specialist will prepare specific documents to be recorded and released. They will add and remove collateral exceptions from the bank system concerning the collateral documents. The position requires the ability to work well with fellow employees. They must have the ability to perform a variety of tasks as needed while maintaining attention to detail. Skill requirements are typing, filing and the ability to use Word and Excel as well as bank software. They must have the willingness to learn and accept new duties.

* Input all collateral and exceptions into Silverlake

* Input all tax returns and financials into Silverlake

* Clear exceptions as corrected documents come in

* Prepare and send all collateral including Mortgages, UCCs, Titles, Deeds of Trust to be recorded

* Pull exception report weekly

* Email loan officers and assistants to ask for required documents when needed

* Pull paid out report daily

* Pull paid out files

* Prepare and send collateral releases to be recorded

* File paid out files

* Box up paid outs every three months and call to have them picked up

* Loan Documentation

* Knowledge of loan documents

* Notary duties as needed

* Collateral File Upkeep

* Collateral release for paid loans

* Maintenance, review and filing of paid loans.

* Exception maintenance

* Tax Service maintenance

* Maintenance of paid files stored in the vault

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in loan documentation is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

* Proficient in relevant computer applications

* Ability to multi-task in several computer applications.

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Good verbal and written communication skills, in addition to good listening skills

* Proficient in date entry /typing skills

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude

* Pays attention to detail and displays good organizational skills

Physical Demands:

Sitting for long periods of time

Pulling and Lifting Files

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
