DescriptionImpactImproves Bank's financial position.ResponsibilitiesProcesses residential, commercial, and construction loan applications, maintains loan documentation, and provides support to the underwriters, loan officers and branch personnel.Essential Functions1. Reviews mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracy while ensuring applications contain documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data prior and subsequent to loan closing.2. Prepares loan estimates and disclosures and truth-in-lending forms within the required regulatory timeframe.3. Processes tax returns, corporate returns, all pertinent tax schedules, all financial documents needed to support an application for a mortgage loan.4. Performs preliminary review of the applicant's sources of repayment and adequate liquid funds to close.5. Prepares commitment letters, adverse action notices and completes the CRA/HMDA forms and other related documents.6. Prepares loan documents utilizing loan documentation software and or other software on new loans, loan renewals and modifications, loan extensions, and escrow agreement extensions.7. Communicates with applicants and brokers on application status and any required documentation with the origination and annual review process.8. Coordinates with loan closers and attorneys to facilitate closings.9. Conducts post-closing review for completeness of loan documents and accuracy of names, collateral description, liens and loan terms.10. Uploads loan documentation to tickler / tracking system.11. Reviews loan applications for SBA eligibility, processes Preferred Lenders Program applications and works through any issues to obtain approval, processes SBA fee, and assists loan servicing and portfolio managers with monitoring of SBA loans.Ancillary Functions1. Assures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.2. Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed.3. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.Mandatory Training Curricula Training is required of all Bank staff as related to regulatory mandated compliance topics and courses required for specific job functions. Please refer to course catalog and management for details.Competencies (refer to Competencies Library)Skills Clearly communicates in English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations; proficient financial, analytical, and underwriting skills; thorough knowledge of mortgage loan regulations and documentation requirements; organizational skills with the ability to multi task; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office and loan processing software.Physical DemandsThe physical and related demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job is mostly sedentary in nature, but may occasionally involve lifting files and other materials that weigh up to 20 lbs. Employees in this job must be able to work in an office environment during regular business hours where they come into regular and frequent contact with internal and external customers and other members of the public. Therefore, employees in this position are expected to have consistently positive interactions with the public.RequirementsEducation/TrainingAssociates degree, or equivalent, with emphasis in businessExperienceA minimum of three (3) years' related experience normally required; loan processing and SBA experience preferred.Salary Range:$39,480 - $50,000
