DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees all loan purchase activities including; receipt of the purchase advice, upload to the system of record, data-entry and validation, and reconciliation of amounts received vs. expected.
- Manages and monitors all technology platforms, automation, and programming conducting loan sale tasks.
- Actively identifies and immediately resolves purchase advice errors and discrepancies, these may require communication with vendors, customer service representatives, counterparties, or internal teams.
- Interacts with vendors, lenders, investors, servicers, and Accounting to ensure loan transfers are accurate in management of principal, interest, and escrow transactions.
- Regularly reconciles account transactions updated to the LOS with the Accounting system of record, including loan sale, escrow payments, loan payments, warehouse paydowns, and payoffs.
- Assists in the daily, weekly and/or monthly monitoring and reconciliation of loan payment postings, escrow disbursements, and other financial entries made both to the LOS and the Accounting system of record.
- Responsible for constant reconciliation of all applicable systems and initiates the movement of loan funds to the appropriate parties in the settlement of all debits and credits.
- Supports customer service representatives in their efforts to retrieve applicable funds from counterparties.
- Produces and maintains escrow transfer records, documents, and files required for both loan sale and internal escrow reconciliation.
- Assists with projects, audits, and other related functions as needed.
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve lenders and increase the goodwill and profit of the organizations.
- Supervisory duties
Requirements:
- Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to three years of related experience in management or oversight of technology platforms or automation tools conducting related tasks.
- Computer skills required: Expert-level Microsoft Office knowledge as well as experience with other advanced fintech tools and applications.
- Other skills required: Prior mortgage experience required with CONV/FHA/VA/USDA loans, strong prioritization, organizational, time management, mathematical aptitude, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced/high-volume environment.
