Position Overview

The Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan servicing function. As an integral member of the lending team, this individual will monitor pending and current loans, rate changes, and related transactions. The Loan Servicing Representative will coordinate work within the department and with other departments to ensure delivery of superior quality service to both internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Uploads loan account file information to the core processing system and performs next day system review.

* Processes changes to loans in core processing system based on documented change in terms.

* Files collateral for new loans and Change in Term requests.

* Reviews residential and consumer loan files; checks files for accuracy; reviews checklist for all documents needed; documents exceptions when needed; clears exceptions upon receipt and verification of requested documentation.

* Verifies documents have been submitted for recordation.

* Reviews collateral records for information pertaining to payoff quotes.

* Researches paid loan reports in order to prepare satisfaction documents.

* Executes and submits mortgage satisfaction documents for recordation.

* Documents credit bureau report disputes; researches and, if necessary, corrects records; prepares written response to borrowers.

* Prepares loan files and related documents for scanning; operates scanning equipment; completes quality control review of each scanned file; manages retention of designated documents and loan files.

* Reviews and verifies maintenance entered by other users of core system for all loan types.

* Reviews ticklers weekly for manual rate changes and UCC renewals as needed.

* Prepares and processes loan payments.

* Monitors insurance requirements through insurance tracking system; uploads insurance policies upon receipt and verification of accuracy.

* Performs loan maintenance changes to the core servicing system, in accordance with current maintenance procedures as needed.

* Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

* Reviews loan maintenance for the purposes of collateral system verification, as it relates to the accuracy of fees associated with satisfying collateral documents.

* Processes address changes, in accordance with current address change procedures

* Monitors pending loan files for receipt of insurance policies, mortgages and vehicle titles

* Performs Branch Capture end of day processing.

* Handles direct communications, both written and verbal, with customers and other parties.

* Handles customer telephone calls.

* Performs tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

* Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Education & Qualifications

* A high school diploma or equivalent.

* A minimum of one (1) year related experience required.

Skill(s)

Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate typing and PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word; loan processing; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills.
