SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:Complete loan recovery functions for loans as assigned in a timely and efficient manner minimizing financial loss to the Bank and maximizing loan recoveries. Inspect and evaluate collateral especially commercial equipment and real estate for value opinions. Review and analysis of business financial statements Work with 3rd party vendor for residential foreclosures, bankruptcy, and transfer property to OREO. Lead on Collection of Charged Off Checking Accounts.Backup to Supervisor and support for other Loan Recovery Specialist / Officers, Supervisor and Collection Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Review and work Outside Mortgages working with Mortgage Servicing Companies. Complete monthly reports2. Performing work-out of problem loans through analysis of problems and establishment of gainful work-out agreements. 3. Perform inspection of collateral on assigned risk loans.4. Give detailed description and accurate reassessed value of collateral and real estate insuring that proper documentation is executed to support value opinions on all assigned risk accounts and supervise & assist adjusters on commercial and consumer loans.5. Assist in the coordination of activities with collection personnel, originating loan officers and legal representation on recovery matters. 6. Provide advice and guidance to affected personnel in the resolution of bad loans. 7. Provide logistics in recovery, storage, maintenance and sale of repossessed assets and OREO.8. Recommend to management an effective method for maximizing financial recovery of major problem loans.9. Minimize loan delinquency and losses through effective collection procedures and techniques, as well as review of delinquent loans.10. Implement timely repossession measures of collateral.11. Develop and maintain historical as well as statistical information to provide accurate reporting on the status of classified, delinquent, non-accrual and charge off loans.12. Ensure compliance with all applicable banking and government laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.13. Ensure compliance of collection laws, such as The Gramm Leach Bliley Act, The Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and Bankruptcy laws.14. Prepare loan and modification requests for Credit / Discount Committees on Assigned Risk Administration credits and ensure that proper documentation is executed to support approval.15. Work with Attorney's and attend Bankruptcy Hearings along with court proceedings to enter judgments execute on garnishments, sheriff sales and replevin actions.16. Work with 3rd party vendors and attorneys on residential foreclosures and bankruptcy filings.17. Collection on Charged Off Checking Accounts and Complete Monthly reports.18. Complete AQR reports on quarterly bases or as needed.19. Assist Manager with Loan Administration as needed. Back up Supervisors for Loan Administration Commercial, Loan Administration Consumer, and Collections.20. Driving Motor VehicleREQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.In lieu of a bachelor's degree, high school graduate/GED with 3 years loan experience.Knowledge of Regulations concerning collection activity and a working knowledge of Bankruptcy laws as well as repossession and foreclosure proceedings are a plus.Excellent negotiating and communication skills are required.
