General Forepersons and Forepersons, ensuring successful production results and creating and a positive team environment.Work Oversight & SafetyPlan and manage production, bid new work, understanding revenue targetsWork together with utility foresters/inspectors to clarify work specifications, coordinate work audits/inspections and address customers issuesVisit work sites frequently. Review the Pre-Job Hazard Survey at each job site; inspect work in progress and ensure it conforms to standards; enforce on the job safety practicesTakes lead role in safety to ensure the well-being of employees, customers and the public.Personnel ManagementEnsures that employees receive training to prepare for job assignmentsAppraises performance of employees to communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback as a means for improvementIdentify and develop high potential employees for leadership successionMaintain records and documentation related to man-hours; equipment and tool use; material inventory and storage; accident/incident reports; property-related permission and permits; customer records; labor disputes; and other job-specific recordsCollaborate with the Corporate office for time keeping, billing, employee relations, contract support and recruitingWhat you'll need:High School Diploma or equivalentLeadership experience in the utility line clearance industry at the Foreperson or Asst. General Foreperson positionStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of trees including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applicable to working in close proximity to energized conductors.Understanding of drawings and symbols representing types of lines, voltage, line equipment, etc.Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. to shoulder height or more.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelHave a valid Driver's License.Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards.Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests.Preferred but not required - CDL and/or medical certificate required for the vehicle being operated.Preferred but not required - Bilingual (English/Spanish).Our DEI Promise:Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is key to the success of our business.
