Job Title: Local Contract - Certified Surgical Tech - Pediatrics Number of positions: 1Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 04/21/2024Hourly pay: $30.80OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $1,155JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: Peds SurgeryShift Timings: 14:30-23:00 Hours Monday to Friday (5 Days/8 Hours)Per Week: 40 Hours3 OR's and 2 Procedure Rooms Service lines: General, Urology, Ortho, ENT, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Endoscopy, and Pediatric gynecology.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPreparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.Sterilizing equipment and instruments.Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.Tracking surgical supplies.Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.Helping provide great patient care.QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current Pediatric Surgical Tech experience.
