Job Description:
Compensation : $43.57 - $43.57 Hourly Start Date : 09/10/2023 End Date : 12/16/2023 Security Clearance : None Preparing and sterilizing the operating rooms, as well as the necessary equipment and instruments, prior to any surgical procedure. Department: Surgery Shift timings:08:00 - 16:30Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
  • Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
  • Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
  • Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
  • Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
  • Tracking surgical supplies.
  • Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
  • Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
  • Helping provide great patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 ORs, critical access, Orthopedics, General surgery, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Pain, Urology.
  • Call requirement one Friday/Saturday/Sunday a month and 5 days.
  • Required a minimum of 3 years of Experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of Surgical Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited certified surgical tech program
  • Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Texas state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
