- Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
- Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
- Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
- Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
- Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
- Tracking surgical supplies.
- Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
- Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
- Helping provide great patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 ORs, critical access, Orthopedics, General surgery, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Pain, Urology.
- Call requirement one Friday/Saturday/Sunday a month and 5 days.
- Required a minimum of 3 years of Experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of Surgical Tech experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited certified surgical tech program
- Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Texas state license
- One year of Epic experience
