Job Title: Local Contract - MRI Tech Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 04/07/2024 Hourly pay: $65.52 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $2,457 SummaryDepartment: Radiology - MRI Tech Shift timings: 07:00 - 17:30- Friday/Sat/Sun (4 Days/10 Hours) Per Week: 40 Hours Independently performs MRI procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or manager in a highly technical and professional manner. Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
- Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction toappropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of three years of current MRI Tech experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/MRI Tech program
- Active unencumbered MRI Tech/Radiology Tech Iowa state license
- One year of Epic experience
- ARRT Certification
