We are seeking ICU RNs - Registered Nurses. This person will provide specialized care for critical patients as well as focus on patient treatment and recovery.Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.Responsibilities & DutiesDelivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standardsAssesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care managementIntegrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning “after hospital care” and delegating to others as appropriate.Demonstrates patient focused and cost effective approaches to patient care in terms of equipment, staff, supplies and all other resourcesAssist physicians in performing special proceduresCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated and comprehensive careIdentify potential patient problems and take appropriate measures to interveneMaintain a high level of expertise in critical care nursing techniquesMonitor and safeguard patient quality of careEnsure complete and accurate patient recordsQualifications:Registered Professional Nurse currently registered to practice in New York State.Bachelor's degree in nursing preferredNYS RN License BLS, ACLS 2 years of critical care/intensive care nursing experience, ICU experiencePrevious experience in nursing or other medical fieldsAbility to build rapport with patientsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to work well in teamsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
