Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
Preferred Qualifications License/Certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS Holiday Requirement Per Department needs On-Call Per Department Needs Acuity Level: Critical Will they deal with COVID patients? YES Minimum Qualifications
- EOW; EOH
- Minimum 2 years experience in RT including critical care
- May need to float to sites within 40 mile if needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current Respiratory Therapist experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited Respiratory Therapist program
- Active unencumbered Respiratory Therapist Pennsylvania state license
- One year of Epic experience
