Operations Manager- Lincoln, RI

The Operations Manager at Western Oil will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the daily operational activities of the company. This position requires a strong focus on health and safety compliance, operational efficiency, and effective communication within the team and with key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Health and Safety Management: Ensure compliance with all health and safety practices, policies, and processes. Act safely at all times and maintain operations within safe limits.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with regulatory, permit, and corporate Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.

- Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to enhance business efficiency and productivity.

- Production Monitoring: Oversee and report on the overall production of the facility, including managing incoming and outgoing load sheets.

- Driver Communication: Facilitate daily check-ins with drivers, prepare the necessary paperwork for the next day's routing, and maintain communication between management and drivers.

- GPS Utilization: Utilize GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicle locations effectively.

- Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed proposals, including cost estimates, work scopes, and schedules for various projects.

- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing and understanding their issues.

- Waste Management: Manage the processing of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes according to RIDEM, RCRA, DOT, and customer requirements, focusing on least-cost routing.

- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare reports and applications as required by various regulatory agencies.

- Collaboration: Work closely with company mechanics and outside service providers to ensure operational efficiency.

- Team Development: Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and developing drivers to enhance team performance.
