General Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training program in anesthesiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, or a related field accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Fellowship training in pain management, focusing on advanced pain management techniques and interventional procedures.

License & Certifications:

  • Board certification in pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in California.

Experience:
